Bust Of Male Statue
3rd intermediate period to late period, 25-26 dynasties, 670-610 BCE
Probably from the area around Memphis, Lower Egypt
This bust can be dated by the smooth double wig the Kushite told(the facial ‘smile’ line from the nose to the mouth) the broad nose and the extremely muscular neck. The absence of back pillar and the slight inclination of the upper body suggest that the bust was once part of scribe’s statue.





Statue of Shepses-Ptah
Old Kingdom, late 6th dynasty 2260-2181 BCE
Giza, Lower Egypt
Shepses-Ptah was a priest and artisan. His tomb at Giza contains a total of 14 statues. Ten of which depict Shepses-Ptah, while the remaining four show servant figures carrying out various duties.



Seated Statue of Khentit-Ka and her son Rudju
Old Kingdom, late 5th dynasty 2450 BCE
Giza, Lower Egypt
Khentit-Ka was the wife of senior official. The description on the seat list her names and titles and those of her son Rudju. Rudju is depicted naked with his right hand finger to his mouth.



Statue of Hetep-seshat and a woman
Old Kingdom, late 4th to early 5th dynasty, 2550-2450 BCE
Giza, lower Egypt
When this statue was found in the western cemetery of Giza in 1914, it had broken into several parts. A man and a woman are sculptured learning against a high back place, standing on a wide pedestal. Both are shown wearing wigs, but their face have been destroyed.



Statue of the scribe Henka
Old Kingdom, 5th dynasty, 2430 BCE
Probably Memphis Region, Lower Egypt
This Scribe statue was found in the tomb of the scribe Henka, who was known as “the oversees of all of the king’s works”, a “judge” and “border official”. He is shown holding a papyrus scroll in his lap and a reed in his right hand. This statue is extremely damaged and appears to be incomplete.
