TrueCrypt - Disk Encryption Software

Win 7 Home Premium is without BitLocker and EPS security protection. For Home Premium user, you may consider TrueCrypt instead.

TrueCrypt is a software system for establishing and maintaining an on-the-fly-encrypted volume(data storage device). No data stored on an encrypted volume can be read (decrypted) without using the correct password/keyfile(s) or correct encryption keys. Entire file system is encrypted (e.g., file names, folder names, contents of every file, free space, meta data, etc).

Note:On-the-fly encryption means that data is automatically encrypted or decrypted right before is loaded or saved, without any user intervention.

TrueCrypt software not only apply to file and it also able to create a high security TrueCrypt volume (same as storage drives) for only authorised users.

You may refer to TrueCrypt User Guide for more detail before installing. The most important things are it's great software and it's FREE. Just try it!
